A new leak claiming to reveal Geekbench scores for the iPhone 15 Pro’s rumored A17 chip shows massive performance gains. According to the tipster, it’ll have a single-core score of 3,019 and multi-core score of 7,860, which is over 24% better than the iPhone 14 Pro.

The new iPhones will also reportedly get a meatier cooling system that will enable them to run faster under sustained load. This could lead to smoother gaming and other processor-intensive tasks.

Camera

Apple’s camera capabilities have been a big focus of criticism for some time now, and the iPhone 15 could bring a major upgrade. Rumors claim the iPhone 15 will feature a new, larger primary camera sensor. This new Sony IMX 903 sensor is supposed to be close to 1-inch in size and should provide more image data, which in turn will produce better results.

This will also allow the camera to take photos in low-light conditions, which is a major challenge for most smartphones. The resulting photos should have more detail, less noise, and higher dynamic range.

Apple is reportedly planning to bring this 48MP camera capability to the whole iPhone 15 lineup, including the vanilla models.
